The Beats Powerbeats3 wireless earphones give any fitness addict a stable fit. However, while they are wireless are they genuinely wireless. Find out here with the Beats Powerbeats3 wireless headphone review.
Beats Powerbeats3 Wireless Design
The Powerbeats3 has a hook and neckband design that does not fall out of your ears when jumping around at the gym. We got a comfortable fit with the included ear tips. While the noise-isolation is good, you can still hear outside noise that is useful with activities. Furthermore, it has the W1 chip for seamless connection with your iOS device. The earphones charge in one hour, or you can give it a quick charge as well. Moreover, even Android users can use the earphones with Bluetooth connection, and it works smoothly. The battery offered up to 12-hours of playtime and provided us enough listening time when used throughout the day with different activities.
On the other hand, the wireless earphones sweat- and water-resistant so can handle from sweating to a splash of rain. You can take calls or control your music with the in-line remote. There is a connection button you can use for playing, pausing, skipping tracks, and more. We did find the volume controls on both sides disappointing, but some users may find them easy to use. While the buttons are not easy to use, the inline remote works well and have a durable build making each click simple.
Can you get a comfortable fit?
The earphones linked with a flexible cable you can adjust to get a comfortable fit. Furthermore, you have ear hooks that you can hook over your ear. When working out at the gym, we found the ear hooks kept the buds tightly sealed in the ear without falling out. However, we do recommend you fiddle around with the neckband as too much slack causes the cable to become sticky with sweat. Furthermore, you have a selection of ear tips with a carry case and USB charging cable included. Unfortunately, there is no lighting connection.
Are the earphones sound great?
Firstly, you get bags of bass sound as with most Beats products. When working out in noisy environments, it helps, but we did find that the bass does spill across in certain tracks. Furthermore, there was a lack of detail and dynamics compared to other sports wireless earphones available. Moreover, the treble has no brightness, but when in an isolated area the sound is perfect. The vocals are smooth, no matter what you are listening. Even taking calls is no problem with these headphones. On the other hand, the connection is stable when paired with your phone.
