Beyerdynamic DT 770 Studio Design

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Studio Review

The DT 770 has an industrial-looking design with a long three-meter cable made for everyday use. Included you get a carrying pouch, screw-on ¼ inch adapter, and the documentation. The headset is a wired headphone that makes use of a straight 3.5mm connector with a ¼ inch threading. The studio 80 ohms earphones work well with audio devices but may not work well with your smartphone. The DT 770 Studio headphones are best used with an amp to get the best sound. You can see a lot of metal on the headband and earcup forks. Furthermore, the headbands layered with durable plastic. The cable has a rubber and plastic construction, as well. Moreover, it comes with a velour padding and great for people wearing glasses. Another benefit of the fabric is that it does not leave your ears warm with extended use. On the other hand, you can remove the pads for cleaning. However, if you plan on using the headphones away from home, we recommend some zip ties to rein in the cable as it is long. What’s more, we do not recommend using the DT 770 with your smartphone.

Beyerdynamic DT 770 Studio Performance

While there have been many remarks from users using the headphone online that it is muddy, the problem is that they are not using it correctly. The critical thing to remember is that the device you are using needs to be able to handle the headphones. These earphones are bass-heavy and emphasis anything that goes through it. While particular vocals may sound fantastic, the higher-pitches vocals may sound quieter than it should. You will find the mids taking backseat to the bass with heavy-instrument songs. However, a properly mixed track preserves the vocals, and the instrument sounds nice. At times you may notice that some songs end up overemphasized on the weak highs and mids. For the best noise isolation, the Beyerdynamic DT 770 Studio is best used indoors. The highs are not bad at all but may found stringed instruments leaving you with a ringing sound.

Our Verdict

What more can we say except for absolutely amazing! While many audiophiles say, the DT 770 Studio is bass-heavy, a fact is they are accurately tuned to produce bass. Furthermore, it depends on how you use it. You get a heavenly warm with accurate resonance compared to other headphones in the same price range. You can wear the earphones for eight hours without feeling uncomfortable, and it blocks out most background sounds. On the other hand, you can connect it with different audio devices but not user-friendly with your smartphone.Alternatively, to get the best use out these studio headphones is to use it with an amp or AV receiver. Personally, there is nothing wrong with these headphones accept that it does have a break-in period but only gets better with time.
