Beyerdynamic T90 Headphone Review
The Beyerdynamic T90 is a pricey headphone, but you get an accurate sound. With the open-back design, you get spacious stereo imaging, and it is comfortable to wear. Furthermore, it measures up well with most other brands in the same price range. But what more can you get with this high price, and is it a perfect pair of audio cans? Let us see that you can decide for yourself if they are worth spending money on them.
Beyerdynamic T90 Headphone Design
Beyerdynamic makes some flagship headphones like the Tesla T1 that can set you back in the bank account. The earphone was designed with a closed-back structure with the most potent magnets to improve efficiency and lower distortion. But now we have the T90 that is the first open-back model from the brand. With the open-back construction, you get more ambient noise present but produce a spacious stereo imaging compared to the T1. The full-size headphones sit comfortably over the ears. On the other hand, the earcups are covered with textured fabric allowing you to hear background noise. Therefore, no matter at what level you listen to your music, people around you will hear it. The earphones hand-crafted and has a high-gloss plastic finish seen in some popular Beats headphones. Not only do you find more significant and powerful neodymium magnets inside, but it also minimizes the magnetic power loss. On the drive, you have a magnetic ring.
One thing sure when it comes to quality, it feels solid in your hands compared to some of Sennheiser’s expensive headphones. The earpads were covered with plush microfiber, and we did not find our ears warming up with prolonged use. The headset is 12.3 ounces but still heavy but remains comfortable to wear. Moreover, we did not have any hindrance using it with portable devices as the impedance is 250 ohms. The T90 is made to use with AV receivers and amplifiers. You get a ten-foot cable on the left earcup that you cannot remove. The wire has a 3.5mm plug with a screw-on 6.3mm adapter plug included. The carry bag is made of faux leather and is the only extra accessory you get with the headphones. Furthermore, you get a two-year warranty as well.

Beyerdynamic T90 Headphone Performance
Compared to other audiophile headphones, the Beyerdynamic T90 will not disappoint you in sound. The sound is pure and clear, as you can hear right into the recordings with precision. The sound is neutral from top-to-bottom even when there are loads of bass present these earphones do not hold back. However, it does not add additional boom. So if you do spend that hard-earned money on these earphones you will get an expansive and refined sound. Even listening to classical or jazz tunes makes you feel as if you are at the concert.
It feels as if you are listening to music over speakers and not hearing the sound in your head. Compared to the HD 700 from Sony, the T90 gives you a more luxurious tonal balance with powerful bass. Even connecting it to an iPod Classic, the audio is acceptable, but it does lack some bass. But considering the design, the headphones are not made for use with portable devices. When watching movies with a headphone amp the earphones give you a first-rate cinema experience. You get a wide soundstage and comfort for watching a movie until the end.
