Plantronics BackBeat Sense Design
When you look at the BackBeat Sense, it seems similar in design to the Fidelio collection from Philips. You get an office-friendly vibe that is great is everyday use from the house, café, to your workplace.
The headband has a lightweight stainless steel structure. The best of all, the band does not come in contact with your head with the rubber underneath.
Furthermore, it is covered with leatherette fabric and looks as if it only fits on small heads. Surprisingly it works well with massive noggins as well.
For stability, it has white plastic sidearms, and some of the accents have a textured look. Another fantastic thing is the headphones flexible as the earcups swivel at 180°.
So you can wear them face down on the chest, and we love it. On either side of the earcups, you have a smooth plastic with copper grille and rubber buttons.
When flipped over, you can notice the etched markings indicating left and right for placing the earphones correctly on the head.
You find the micro USB port on the right earcup with the audio port for wired connection. Close to the sidearm, you have the power button to switch the headset on/off and serve for Bluetooth pairing as well.
Furthermore, it has LED indicator lights for the battery level as well. The functions you need more often are found on the left earcup.
Here the copper cap rotates to adjust the call and music volume. At the bottom, you have the mute button, and it has separate play/pause buttons on the cap.
When you purchase the BackBeat Sense, you get fancy canvas tote with micro USB cord and 3.5mm cable.
Plantronics BackBeat Sense Performance
Now, as impressive as the BackBeat Sense looks, you will be surprised by the sound it delivers. You get a full, punchy resonance with accuracy and detail.
If you are a bass-lover, you may find the BackBeat Sense, not to your liking. On the other hand, with different tunes, you get a balanced presentation.
The comfort of these headphones is impressive, even passing the three-hour mark. The earphones sit on your ears without pressing too hard.
While you do not get noise cancellation with the headphones, it still impressive to keep background noise out and depend on where you are.
On the other hand, the call quality is superb as well as the caller can hear you. The battery life is up to 18-hours and high if you travel by plane frequently.
Even using the buttons is easy and works well with both iOS and Android phones. Adding to the features of the BackBeat Sense, the headset detects when it is on your head with the BackBeat Sense sensor.
When you remove the earphones, the music stops and resumes once you place it back on your head. Another useful function is that the BackBeat Sense automatically paths the audio back to the phone when receiving a call and vice versa.

We found the Plantronics BackBeat Sense one of the best wireless headphones to use every day. The headset is comfortable, and the style appeals to all.
The sound performance is excellent, and it is equipped with some outstanding features, as well. For long trips, the battery will hold up well before it needs a charge.
On the other hand, you get an attractive canvas bag to keep all the accessories together with the headphones. While the earcups do swivel, we would have liked if they could fold into the headband.
In honesty, the cans are a worthy purchase if you want a classy-looking wireless earphone.
